[home computing] Internet radio appliance yanked by authorities

Dutch broadcaster VPRO offered an Internet radio appliance from Reciva, for € 140, in an ad last week. The VPRO website currently lists the offer as 'pending discussion with public broadcast authorities'. Somebody must have become very scared about the future of conventional broadcasting. Expect more of this type of resistance in the future, even though it is a lost battle. Broadcasting will be over the Net.

This is a picture from the VPRO website, and a picture from the Reciva website. It is a pity, I would have liked to have one. It would replace my kitchen portal.

What happened to this ? did the appliance eventually come back on sale, or is there a warehouse full somewhere.

Dunno. No mention of it left, on the site, other than that of a freak user.
